Symptoms that say "You probably need a powerflush"...
1. Cold spots on radiators
2. Boiler or pump noise or failure
3. Sludge or rust in the system
4. Poor or non-existent hot water
5. Most other things caused by poor circulation.
6. System is slow to heat up.
How To Get Rid Of Them
The first thing we do is carry out chemical analysis, we test the water in your central heating to find out the PH level (i.e. is the water acidic or alkaline) and the colour and the total amount of undissolved solid particles suspended in the water. Only when we have tested the system water can we identify and understand what appropriate course of treatment should be!
The 'Powerflushing' pumping units we use moves a high volume of water at a safe low pressure, with selected chemicals at low pressure around your heating (and hot water) system. The pump is connected to either your heating system circulation pump valves, to the pump head within your combination boiler or on rare occasion to the pipework to one of your radiators.
The pumping unit's powerful flow, combined with a carefully chosen cleaning chemical/s dislodges and mobilises deposits and corrosion which resist the traditional 'cold-hose' flushing method.
No chance of spilling any of that black magnetite on your nice clean carpets.
